Samart Benjamin Assarasakorn from Thailand has been appointed as a new Board Member and Executive Chairman of the IESF External Affairs Commission (IEAC). As a new member of the Board, he is responsible for cultivating relationships with organizations that share IESF’s vision, goals, and objectives within the esports ecosystem.
In this role, Assarasakorn will work with IEAC Chairpersons from five continents to initiate conversations with like-minded organizations inside and outside the esports ecosystem. He will also work to create strategies for the development and promotion of the World Esports Family.
Assarasakorn is currently the Executive Chairman & CEO of Kabinburi Industrial Zone. He has also served as Acting General Secretary of the Southeast Asian Esports Federation (SEAEF) since 2021 and has had a lifelong passion for esports. His involvement with the Thailand Esports Federation fostered his goal to gain worldwide recognition for esports as a competitive sport. Assarasakorn’s previous role with The Football Association of Thailand helped him form connections with FIFA and the International Olympic Committee (IOC), providing him with a deep understanding of the international sports movement and sports marketing.
