Regional Qualifiers for 15th World Esports Championships Kick-off

Get ready to witness the most exciting gaming action of the year, as the IESF Regional Qualifiers draw near and the world’s gaming community battle it out for supremacy! The top teams from the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania will compete to secure their spots at the WE Championships Finals from August 24 to September 4 in Iași, Romania.

After an exciting set of national qualifiers, the regional qualifiers are kicking off with each region competing across four top games: PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, CS:GO and Dota 2, as all eFootball™ series and Tekken7 participants have a direct slot to the Championship. For the second edition of the CS:GO Female Tournament, the top 10 female CS:GO teams will qualify for WEC23, more than double the teams from last year’s event, signaling IESF’s successful efforts to promote and nurture a more inclusive World Esports Family.

“We are very excited for the action to get underway during the World Esports Championships regional qualifiers. IESF’s geographical diversity will be on display yet again, with a record number of 120 countries expected to participate this year. We look forward to the months of intense and thrilling competition ahead of us. Good luck to all the countries in the World Esports Family competing for a chance to join us in Iași!”

IESF President Vlad Marinescu

The WE Championships remains the sole international esports event where athletes compete by representing their countries. WE partnered with FITGMR for this year’s WE Championship to promote health and wellness, and to provide athletes with the necessary tools and support to perform at their full potential.
