In Tunisia, there are about 700,000 active players, of which 300,000 are consoles and PC gamers. The Tunisian E-Sports Federation was founded in 2012 in order to promote and structure e-sports. We host 2 major e-Sports tournaments every year (Gaming Show Days and E-Sport Tunisian Cup, which is the IeSF qualifiers). We regularly participate in the IeSF WC since 2013, we got 1st place in “Hearthstone” in 2014. Currently, we are in contact with the Tunisian authorities in order to recognize e-Sports as a sport: despite the political instability in Tunisia, it is slowly improving.
