The Botswana Electronic Sports Federation (BESF) is a recently established national governing body for esports in Botswana. Founded in 2024, BESF was created to organize, promote, and regulate competitive video gaming throughout the country. In 2025, BESF achieved a significant milestone by becoming an official member of the International Esports Federation (IESF), which represents a major step in integrating Botswana’s esports community into the global competitive gaming ecosystem.
