IeSF Grand Final, heated up the World

Almost half of countries among 30 participants finished representative selections

30 participant countries are the increased number from previous challenge competition in last year. This situation proves that IeSF is rapidly growing with increasing number of members and each country’s e-sports organizations are getting integrated. 16 countries in Europe such as Germany, Austria, Denmark, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, Italy and Netherland, England, Bulgaria, Portugal, Norway, Sweden, Israel, Russia participate. 11 counties in Asia, Korea, Japan, China, Chinese Taipei, Vietnam, Malaysia, India, Singapore and Indonesia, Thailand, Bangladesh have promised the participation. USA and Brazil from America and South Africa from Africa will come to participate.

Now, after the mid September, most of countries have finished their representative selections. China has firstly selected their players by domestic competition from May 20th to 23th. Other countries such as India, Switzerland, Portugal, Sweden, Russia, Brazil and USA have gone through selections. The rest of them will finalize the selection until late September and prepare for grand final in Daegu.

Especially, the Israel’s selection attracted attention. The selection in Hodhasharon ended successfully with 5000 participants and it was registered as 2nd large number of participants after Israel Championship competition in 2008. As this competition was so successful, the various media in Israel reported the selection very meaningfully and the e-sports was greatly anticipated that it would become regular sport event.

Korea will operate representative selection as the last one. When other countries need to make visas to come in Korea, the host country Korea has spare time. So, the selection of Korea will be open on the 16th of the next month. .

Oh, Won-Seok, the secretary general of IeSF said, “There is 10 more participants than last challenge competition and the visitors are being increased as well. This is the evidence of the fact that IeSF led by Korea is being strengthened.”
