- Hosted by International e Sports Federation (IeSF), establish international standards of e sports through the world’s first national competition

The world’s first international official e sports competition ‘2009 IeSF Challenge’ will be held at O2 Resorts in Taebaek city, Kang won province until Dec 14th from today, with more than 150 national players of 20 countries.
‘2009 IeSF Challenge’ is hosted by the International e Sports Federation and Korean Creative Content Agency, and supported by the Taebaek City, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Kangwon Province, SK Telecom, High1 Resort, Neowiz Games. This event will be held from Dec 10th to Dec 14th at O2 Resorts in Taebaek City, Kang won.

This event is the first international official e sports competition, there are 2 official items which is WarCraft 3 (Individual play) and FIFA Online 2 (Individual play), and the exhibition game A.V.A (Team play) will be played.
Especially Jung Jae young, Chung Joo young (FIFA Online 2) and Lee hyung joo, Chang Doo seop (WarCraft 3) from South Korea will challenge the world top class players who intensely qualified in the 2009 Asian WCG, 2009 AIG NFS international competitions.

IeSF General Meeting will be held during the events period. This meeting will have approved of new membership country and announcement for the e sports international standard, they also will announce 2010 IeSF business plan and attract more member nations for establish global e sports.
The South Korea will have Opportunity to enhance the prestige of country through the world’s first international official sports competition ‘2009 IeSF Challenge.’
Also from this competition IeSF will gather ‘international e sports competition’ every year to become an Olympic of e sports.
[The return of a legend, celebrating show by various celebrities]
There is another special event for commemoration of the first international official e sports competition which is ‘IeSF Star Invitational Classic.’ This event will be a final of the game called ‘The return of a legend’; this game was big issue that 8 top players was played. Hong jin ho, Lee yoon yeol will have final game on Dec 12th (Sat). Many world fans will have big attention and interest to this game event.
For the opening ceremony event famous singers ‘4minute’ and ‘2AM’ will performed and various event also gathered such as instant game event, costume play , photo event, winner country quiz event, and etc. O2 Resort where is the event venue will open snow flower festival hall for snow and ice sculpture, and this will give unique experience to audiences.
