HanbitSoft’s popular rhythm dance game joins the IESF World Championship
“Audition” was developed back in 2004 by Korea’s T3 Entertainment, and it’s been a popular music and dancing rhythm game for the past 16 years.
Starting with its first launch in Korea, it was launched in 2005 in China, Japan, and gradually in Asia, including Chinese Taipei, Vietnam, and Thailand, as well as North America and Europe. In addition, with the adoption of the World Championship promotion event, Audition by HanbitSoft once again set the stage for its leap into a global game.
Audition is the only game developed (produced) in Korea among IESF World Championships tournaments, and they use their own K-pop as well as the latest K-pop, leading the K-pop trend worldwide. It also contains fashion items of the latest trends as well as traditional costumes from around the world, making it a perfect game for players from all over the world to play with “K-POP, Dance, Fashion, and Community.”
Audition players simulate dancing using the keyboard to control avatars that dance with or against other players. The game is played by pressing the arrows displayed on the screen as well as the spacebar or control key on every 4th beat of the song. The more accurately the spacebar or control key is pressed, the higher the score. That’s the dynamic point of winning or losing in just 0.1 seconds, and this part of the game promises to be a fun and interesting addition to the world championships, as an Esports event more than any other game.
As a promoted title, competitors in the Audition tournament will compete for gold, silver, and bronze medals.
IESF announced the eFootball PES series, Tekken 7, and DOTA2 as the official titles for this year’s event. IESF is looking forward to seeing all the world’s best national teams represent their countries in all titles at IESF’s 12th Esports World Championship in Eilat, Israel.
