Our Commitment
IESF is committed to clean esports competition. We work in alignment with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) to ensure that all participants compete on a level playing field. Our anti-doping program includes education, testing, and enforcement to protect the integrity of esports and the health of athletes.
Anti-Doping Regulations
The following regulations govern the IESF's Anti-Doping procedures that were developed in partnership with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
These regulations apply to all players competing at tournaments and events under the IESF umbrella, with the purpose to protect the health of all Esports players and maintain the integrity of the sport.

Prohibited Categories
Substance categories monitored in esports competition
Stimulants
Substances that enhance alertness, attention, and energy, including amphetamines and certain ADHD medications.
Narcotics
Pain-relieving substances that may affect performance or recovery, including opioids.
Cannabinoids
Cannabis and its derivatives, which are prohibited in competition under WADA guidelines.
Beta Blockers
Medications that may reduce tremors and anxiety, potentially affecting precision in gaming.
Important Notice
This is not an exhaustive list. Athletes must check all medications and supplements against the current WADA Prohibited List. When in doubt, consult with a medical professional or IESF Anti-Doping Committee.

Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUE)
Athletes who require medication for legitimate medical conditions may apply for a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE). This allows the use of otherwise prohibited substances under strict medical supervision.
TUE Requirements:
- Must be applied for before the competition
- Requires documentation from a qualified physician
- The condition must be such that not treating it would significantly impair health
- The substance must not enhance performance beyond normal health
- No reasonable therapeutic alternative exists
TUE applications should be submitted to the IESF Anti-Doping Committee at least 30 days before competition. For more information, please contact us.
