“I am Armand van der Colf. I am a competitive ESports player and I represented South Africa for the CS:GO title in the 2022 IESF World Esports Championship in Bali.”
“When it comes to esports, especially CS:GO, it is very clear to competitive players that teamwork makes the dream work. Without practice, time, and effort with your team, it will be very difficult to make it into the ‘big leagues’. Thus, a lot of time is needed to be put into practice, as an individual and as a team. The more effort you put into the sport, the better your results will be.”
What is your education background?
“I’ve spent many years within the industry and been coached and played with many pro players. I’ve played games from a young age and hence I’m studying BSc Computer Sciences. A tip I would give to CS:GO players wanting to become professionals is to watch professional games, to see how they play and incorporate their skills in your own gameplay.”
What are your experiences in esports?
“Esports allowed me to turn my hobby into a potential career and lifestyle. Esports has opened many doors and created endless opportunities for me in terms of my future. The tournaments hosted by the IESF have exceeded my expectations in regards to how big Esports actually is, how many titles there are, and how many competitors take part.”
