China-Korea e-Sports Competition 2016

China-Korea e-Sports Competition 2016 is an event co-hosted by China Sports Information Center(CSIC) e-Sports Department and Korea e-Sports Association (KeSPA) and supervised by Mars Yaoyu Media and Wuxi Studio.

The signing ceremony was conducted with related personnel present, including:

l Ding Dong, Director of e-Sports Department at CSIC
l Tang Hua, Head of e-Sports Department at CSIC
l Man Soo Cho, Secretary General of KeSPA
l Hyung Seok Seo, Director of Business Department at KeSPA
l Samantha Wang, Manager of Business Department at KeSPA
l Jong Seong Kim, Director of PR Department at KeSPA
l Sun Xiyao, President of Mars Yaoyu Media
l Ding Jun, Director of Mars Yaoyu Media
l Zhang Yu, CEO of Mars Yaoyu Media
l Wu Wenxuan, COO of Mars Yaoyu Media
l And many other representatives from variety of media

Mr. Ding Dong told at the signing ceremony that “China will support the development of e-Sports, and through this opportunity, the interaction of Chinese e-Sports as well as e-Sports developed countries took another big step forward.”

Mr. Man Soo Cho, of KeSPA, illustrated the importance of Korean e-Sports within Korean society along with the milestones in terms of both its history and development.

China-Korea e-Sports Competition 2016, co-hosted by the two e-Sports responsible parties from respective countries, is created under the purpose of reinforcing the interaction of e-Sports between the two nations as well as opening up the opportunity for communication.

Both China and Korea have been leading the development of e-Sports, leaving remarkable milestones on the process. Through this year’s event, they, once again, aim to collaborate to encourage the global e-Sports market including the players, audience, and the media, while raising the standards of domestic e-Sports industries of each nation.

The CEO of Mars Yaoyu Media gave detailed illustration on the event at the signing ceremony with following information:

l The most popular game titles to be chosen for the event including LoL, DOTA2, Warcraft3, and CS:GO
l Representatives from each countries to compete for two days, on the 24th and 25thof December

IeSF, holding China and Korea as members, provided the utmost support to see the event through. IeSF helped the interaction between the two nations to contribute to the activation of international e-Sports A-matches. An internal IeSF worker added that IeSF will be taking this year’s event as a base to create the momentum of activating e-Sports matches between nations to enhance international e-Sports structure around the world.
