The Philippine Esports Organization, member of the Internation eSports Federation, envisions the Philippines to excel in eSports internationally with the mission of providing growth and standardization of eSports in the Philippines. Officially launched in 2012 with its maiden eSports event, the eSports Festival Cebu 2012 which included qualifiers for the IeSF World Championship still being ran until now. By 2013, a nationwide online tournament the Razer NeXT was added. Year 2014 saw a boom in the coverage when PeSO was the host to the IeSF Asian Championships as well as partnership with local news outlet Inquirer.net as eSports by Inquirer.net.
