Slovak eSports association is the official body governing eSports in Slovakia. It embodies not only esports organizers and teams, but also trainers referees and companies doing business in gaming industry such as software development studios etc. In Slovakia we put a great deal of weight on community and on participation in decision making. Therefore almost all decisions made by the association are discussed in committees where all members of the selected area got to discuss the issues. We are also putting lots of effort into cooperation with local authorities and have very good relationship with our local Olympic committee. Our main legislative aim in Slovakia is to get eSports recognised as a sport in our country, thus aiding both local community and IESF in its efforts to draw more public attention to eSports. We are also aiming at providing help and support for young talents, creating training hubs for both young and existing talents, creating industry wide standards for eSports tournaments and teams in Slovakia. On behalf of Slovakia we are very proud to be recognised by the IESF as we are looking forward to helping in eSports growth and recognition worldwide.
