Esports Association Poland – IESF’s Member Nation

To succeed in our mission to create a united World Esport we need really big support and the biggest support we get is from our 109 Member nations, national federations from all around the world!

It’s really important to show you who are our Member Nations!

Today we are presenting the Esports Association Poland!

When did you founded the federation?

Esports Association is a non-profit organization founded on August 18, 2016 in Katowice.

Which games are most played in your country?

The most played games in Poland are CS:GO and League of Legends obviously but we have one of the best players in Europe in titles such as Tekken 7, eFootball PES or PUBG: Battlegrounds.

In which games/Esports do you have a representation?

We have our representation in several esport titles, but mostly it depends on championships that are taking place. This year we selected teams not only in games like Tekken 7 or PES which are played every year in IESF but also in CS:GO, FIFA and PUBG: Battlegrounds.

What is the average age of the players in the national team?

We have noticed that the Tekken 7 and PES community are a little older than in games like FIFA or PUBG, for example two of our representatives that will come to Eilat are 28-29 years old but generally players are around 20 years old.

How has the establishment of the federation helped Esports in your country?

We are organizing a nationwide electronic sports congress where we give the opportunity to discuss the state and direction of the Esports industry. We raise awareness of the interdisciplinary nature of Esports by implementing a proprietary curriculum for secondary schools. Above that we cooperate with central and local government administration, the private sector and represent the country in international structures.

In what ways does the federation help Esports in your country?

Besides educating about Esports, we are also giving it a place to happen. For example as an Association we organise Edu Esports League – nationwide Esports championship of universities, in which competing teams officially represent top universities from all over the country. Same goes for secondary schools where we are organizing Esports events and practice groups where students can learn playing games from properly prepared coaches.

What are your future plans for the federation?

I believe that we are going in the right direction, so strengthening the activities and foundations on which we rely will be good not only for us, but also for the entire Esports industry in Poland.
