On November 15, 2022, the vice president of IESF and President of KeSPA Mr. Alex Youngman Kim had a meeting with the major the Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City Mr. Park Heong-joon in Busan Metropolitan City Hall. President & CEO of Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency (BIPA) Mr. Jeong Mun Seob, Mr. Jeff Bae, and Ms. Emily Cho from the IESF Secretariat were also present at the meeting.
IESF and Busan Metropolitan City made a consensus to continue to work together for Sustainable Esports Development, and discussed increasing the financial support for the WE Summit and World Esports R&D Program in 2023. IESF is also in the process of discussing with the MCST (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) for the same cause.
