The International Esports Federation (IESF) announced the seventh World Esports Summit, and also revealed a new visual identity and branding for the event. The WE Summit will take place from September 29 to October 2 at the Busan Esports Arena, as well as virtually so members of the World Esports Family can join from all over the world. The event is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Busan Metropolitan City and Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency.
Participants from IESF’s 128 Member Federations are expected to come together in an innovative environment to discuss all things esports, including the future of responsible gaming. The four-day event will cover several topics including Emerging fields and current trends in Esports, factors for success, achieving globality, and more. Video highlights from the WE Summit will be available on IESF’s YouTube channel as well as several panels and Q&A sessions being live streamed on Youtube.
IESF has hosted the WE Summit every year since 2016 and is constantly evolving to best serve its members and unite key esports stakeholders from around the world to promote discussion, evolution, and good governance. IESF Athletes Committee Chairperson Tiffani Lim, Krafton Esports Business Development and KR Esports Lead Paul Kim, GIRLGAMER Operations Director Tiago Fernandes and Damwon Kia Esports Team COO Joon Young Lee are just a few of the speakers confirmed, with the full list set to be announced later this week.

Also taking place at the WE Summit is the second edition of the World Esports Academia Seminar, which aims to promote and activate academic research for the World Esports Family and contribute to the overall growth and development of the esports industry. Members of the World Esports Family were invited to submit research papers and the first place winner will have the opportunity to present their work at the seminar.
