Oh Won-suk designated as the first secretary-general of IeSF

After the founding of the federation in Novemeber 2008, International e-Sports Federation(IeSF) has designated its first secretary-general by recommendations from related institutions and membership countries’consensus to scout a competent manpower for ‘constituting systemized organization for federation’ ‘stabilized operation’ and ‘developing global e-Sports’with experience and ability.

The first secretary-general Oh Won-suk has performed his great leadership and abilities at WCG to grow its potentials of WCG. Through his effort, WCG has been able to promote from 17 to 78 countries participating in the world’s largest e-Sports competition(listed in the World’ Giuness Book or Records). By having the knowhow, stabilized leadership, and controlling power to lead the global e-Sports, the federation has been able to focus on the federation’s stable operation and manpower internally, while focusing on to promote membership countries and globalizing e-Sports.

As becoming the first secretary-general of the federation, he said “I have played as a role of secretary-general with passion and sound mind since the WCG 1st competition started in 2001. I feel great responsibility to take this role amidst building not only South Korea but also international growth of e-Sports. I will collect all opinions from every country and every representative around the world to lay grounds for the development of the federation.“He has started fulfilling his role since 4th of May.

Also, he has stressed that he will push ahead ‘Standardizing international norms for e-Sports and structuring international e-Sports organization’ Through this effort, he will strive to ‘provide grounds for the federation to take the international and leading role’ ‘publicize active exchange with the membership countries’ and expand membership countries which are currently organized in Europe, Asia to North/South American, Oceania, and African countries.
