South Korea’s League of Legends team won the title by winning straight two games in the final, and South Korea’s Counter Strike : Global Offensive team finished the tournament in 3rd place. South Korea’s Tekken7 player, while regrettably finishing in quarter-final, supported Korean national team into first place overall. The total point earned by South Korea was 147 and South Korea once again regain the overall champion. The overall runner-up was Philippines, who won the Tekken7 title with 116 pts.
Alex Lim, the Secretary General of IeSF, gave the closing address. He emphasized on the harmony between athletes and federations, and requesting all participants to gather efforts for development of future esports.
Last but not least, next Esports World Championship, the sole international esports tournament based on nationality, will be hosted in Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei, with a biggest scale as its 10th anniversary.
